snow showers could lead to brief reductions in visibility and
light accumulations on roadways. with falling temperatures some
slick spots could develop.

exercise extra caution if encountering low visibility and slick
roads tonight. take it slow and remain alert for changing driving
conditions.

* timing...through this afternoon.

* winds...west wind gusts up to 50 mph.

* impacts...very wet ground conditions along with strong gusty
winds may lead to a few trees to be easily blown down.
scattered power outages may be possible. traveling with high
profile vehicles may be difficult.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a wind advisory is issued for sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or
gusts between 46 and 57 mph. winds of this magnitude can cause
minor property damage without extra precautions. motorists should
use caution especially motorists in high profile vehicles.
